According to the police, a man in his 20s has died in a skiing accident in Vemdalsskalet, reports SVT Nyheter Jämtland.
The man was found a few meters out in the terrain next to one of the slopes after a couple of hours of searching on Tuesday. The man’s relatives have now been notified.
The cause of death is still unclear, but the investigation is classified as “death without suspicion of crime”.
Part of the police’s investigation consists of surveying the man’s health before the accident. Another part is to map how the accident happened, mainly through interviews with people he traveled with and people who were involved in the search.
