Orgasm guarantee and 3D printing from the butt as super

Imagine you live in a world where everyone has superpowers. Humans can fly in the sky, teleport to any location, or have superhuman strength. And then your super power is solely that you have your Use butt as a 3D printer can. It might be better not to have any, right? Disney+’s new superhero comedy Extraordinary explores that and more.

Really need it another new superhero series? Sure, a valid question. Especially in times when Marvel has a new show starting every month and even the superhero satire The Boys becomes a franchise, this genre is bursting at the seams. But Extraordinary is easy too funny to ignore.

That’s what Disney+’s superhero comedy Extraordinary is all about

The action of Extraordinary takes place in a world where almost all people from their 18th birthday have superpowers receive. Twenty-something Jen (Máiréad Tyers), however, is not one of them. And pretty much everything that goes wrong in her life is blamed on her lack of superpowers. She’s stuck in the ultimate Quarterlife Crisis.

Jen owes the fact that Jen doesn’t crash completely to her roommates, who are also stuck in life despite their existing superpowers. On the one hand there is Jen’s best friend Carrie (Sofia Oxenham), who can communicate with the dead. She doesn’t feel taken seriously because everyone is just doing her party trick – to cheer up, Hitler’s ghost is often teased – want to see.

Cassie’s partner Kash (Bilal Hasna), on the other hand, can turn back time and is more concerned with fulfilling his dream of becoming a superhero and starting a chaotic vigilante squad than cultivating his own relationship. The last flatmate is also the strangest. It’s about the Stray cat named Jizzlord (Luke Rollason) – a shapeshifter who has no recollection of his life before the furry transformation.

The most important binge information about Extraordinary:

  • Launch: January 25 on Disney+ *
  • Length: 8 episodes of around 30 minutes each
  • Extraordinary is the funniest superhero series in a long time

What sets Extraordinary apart from other superhero series is obvious right from the start. It doesn’t want to be a superhero series at all. There are no battles between good and evil or expansive mythologies for you to learn about. Rather, Extraordinary is a mix of Hangout sitcom about troubled mid-twenties and Cringe comedy with heart à la Sex Education – just with superheroes and a good portion of British humor.

The world building is the great strength of the series. This world where superpowers are part of everyday life feels lively and extremely creative on. On every corner there is on the streets of London interesting and curious superpowers to discover. This is very reminiscent of the fantastic sci-fi world building of the Amazon comedy Upload with all its hidden gaming easter eggs. Only here are superpowers.

Of course, Extraordinary also has a lot of people with cool abilities, like flying, super speed, or super strength. Many of them are arrogant, vain and (pun intended) aloof precisely because of this. Then most people have less everyday superpowers. And they are the real comedy highlight of Extraordinary.

There seems to be no limit to the ingenuity and wit of weird superpowers when, for example, we meet a guy with what is probably the most unnecessary ability of all time: he can convert any object into a PDF. The greatest comedy potential, however, unfolds in a supporting character that every living being through a simple touch to instant orgasm brings. And now you can guess where the cat Jizzlord got his name from.

Extraordinary might not be epic like a Marvel or DC series, and it might not be satirically biting like The Boys — but it’s pretty damn funny. And anyone who enjoys British and sometimes crude humor awaits one of the biggest surprises in the series of the young year.
