GW about the national police chief: “His days are probably numbered”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

National Police Chief Anders Thornberg has received criticism for a long time, including for being unavailable to journalists. Now Criminologist and author Leif GW Persson says that he does not think that Thornberg will remain in his post for much longer.

– Something tells me that his days are probably numbered, he says.

Anders Thornberg is one of the few national police chiefs who has gone all the way from police in the field to supreme chief. But Leif GW Persson believes that he has been suffocated by bureaucracy.

– He is a decent man, I know him, so it is a bit tricky to talk about him in this way. But I had hoped for more from him.
