It can really sting the wallet to live and live in Sweden’s capital, especially if you want to live in Stockholm’s inner city. If you also have a car, a hefty sum is added for parking – something that becomes particularly clear in a new, to say the least sensational, sale.
The broker about the garage space: “Most expensive I sold”
In a house in lower Östermalm in Stockholm, a 12 square meter garage has been sold for a staggering three million kroner. And the monthly fee? It is not included in the price.
– This is the most expensive one I have sold, says Denise Edlindbroker at Eklund Stockholm New York, to Expressen.
Edlind, who has previous experience selling garage spaces in the inner city, notes that these rarely come on the market and that she often receives requests from people who want to get their hands on a parking space.
– If there is a parking space nearby or – even more awesome – in the same building, then you are very keen on it, she says to the newspaper and continues:
– This is connected to the fact that it is completely impossible to park in the city.
