The suspected murder attempt took place on 29 October 2022 in the southern part of Kumla urban area.
According to the indictment, the man allegedly tried to kill a 25-year-old man by stabbing and cutting him repeatedly with a knife, whereby he sustained injuries in several places, including in the abdomen.
According to the prosecutor, the crime should be assessed as serious because the suspected perpetrator directed knife violence at parts of the victim’s body where vital organs are located.
Alternatively, the prosecutor has demanded that the man be sentenced for serious assault.
