Frida Karlsson overpowered just about everyone and took home the entire Tour de Ski in an impressive way to say the least.
And for that, she was rewarded with an ice monument in her honor, on home ground in Hallstaberget, Sollefteå.
– A surprise was waiting at the stadium, writes Karlsson on Instagram. See the image below.
A little over a week after the turn of the New Year struggled Frida Karlsson up the slalom slope in Val di Fiemme during the last stage of the Tour de Ski. Once at the finish line, she collapsed completely in the finish line, but once she recovered, she had done so as the winner of the entire tour.
The tribute to Frida
After she won the Tour de Ski, a lot has been about recovery for Frida Karlsson, who is now looking ahead to the WC in Planica, Slovenia, which starts on February 22. There has been a lot of time at home, where the 23-year-old has been training, albeit at a slower pace, at the Hallstaterrängen in Sollefteå.

At home in Sollefteå, the star of the region has also been celebrated and rewarded with a monument built entirely in ice, a monument that is more or less as tall as Frida Karlsson is tall. There is also a text that reads “congratulations, Frida”, i.e. “congratulations, Frida”.
