Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler (28) is currently on Twitch with a special format: He gambles Fortnite with random players and if they behave decently, they get €50. However, one candidate now rejected the gift and preferred to be left alone.
What’s the deal with the gift? In some of his current streams, Trymacs made the Random Duos in Fortnite unsafe: That means he gambles with randomly assigned partners and talks to them.
The colorful Battle Royale is popular with younger gamers, but the behavior of the young players shocked the Twitch streamer. For example, a video posted to Trymacs’ YouTube channel is titled “Most Awkward Lap EVER!”
Insults fly around between the young players in the video and Trymacs doesn’t get away with it either (via YouTube). This resulted in the new format: Anyone who is characterized by good behavior in the joint rounds receives €50 from the Twitch streamer.
However, a fellow player turned down the gift and seemed pretty annoyed by Trymacs.

Nobody wants money from Trymacs?
What did this situation come about? In a stream on January 19, Trymacs met a wide variety of players again. Among them was a 21-year-old whose somewhat confused answers caused a lot of entertainment and speculation in the streamer’s chat.
The viewers commented that he was drunk or stoned.
Nevertheless, Trymacs and his teammate were able to win the round. The streamer then offered his game partner a gift of €50, which he was happy to accept. However, Trymacs has yet to add him as a friend so they can work out the details in a shared lobby.
what went wrong The streamer sent the friend request, but then nothing happened. Trymacs was visibly frustrated: some weren’t allowed to accept the gift, others would accidentally delete him from the friends list and the current partner wouldn’t be able to accept him now.
The format is slowly making no sense anymore, says the streamer.
Trymacs receives an ice-cold rebuff
What happened to the 21-year-old? After more than half an hour, the 21-year-old player accepted Trymacs’ friend request. However, the mood had shifted. When the streamer is told that the other person still gets €50, the streamer only gets an annoyed “Mhm”.
Trymacs then asks his teammate if he still wants the money and is visibly surprised by the answer: “To be honest: no”.
The streamer is stunned: Then you can leave the format completely. His viewers find it rather funny – the guy is really excited, he wouldn’t even check that he’s won something.
Spectators annoy fellow players
what happened there? The 21-year-old explained to Trymacs that “people” were annoying him all the time when all he wanted to do was gamble.
The problem probably lies with Trymacs viewers: an average of 8,498 watched the stream, the peak was even over 15,000 (via sullygnome). As soon as someone plays with the popular streamer, they are apparently showered with thousands of friend requests.
Trymacs also warns its fellow players several times to ignore these requests: don’t accept them, preferably don’t even read them out loud, they would only want to take advantage of you. Nevertheless, he cannot prevent his spectators from annoying his teammates.
The streamer somehow tries to save the situation, but is completely denied:
Trymacs: All crisis. All right, but hanging out with you was still cool.
fellow players: […] yeah
Trymacs: Alright. Then I wish you a nice weekend!
Teammate: Mmm.
Apparently, the 21-year-old was no longer interested in the streamer or his viewers. It remains to be seen whether and how the format can be continued in the long term, because it is not the first time it has caused trouble:
