At the box office, Avatar 2: The Way of Water is unstoppable as a long-distance runner. After the James Cameron blockbuster was already one of the 10 most successful films of all time, it now has another one massive new record on Star Wars and Marvel levels cracked.

Avatar 2 breaks the 2 billion mark at the box office
As Variety reports, the sci-fi film has now passed the 2 billion mark at the worldwide box office. In all of cinema history it is only six other films so far succeeded: Avatar – Dawn of Pandora, Avengers 3: Infinity War, Avengers 4: Endgame, Titanic and Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens.
James Cameron has directed three films in this series, which continues to make him well biggest blockbuster king power. The future of the sci-fi series is thus secured for the time being.
When is Avatar 3 in cinemas?
Part 3 and parts of part 4 have already been shot, while a fifth part is also firmly planned. Next up is Avatar 3 am December 18, 2024 come to the cinema.
