The White House described the burning of the Qur’an in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm as an “extremely disrespectful act”.
Speaking at the daily press conference, White House Spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said about the burning of the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm in Sweden, and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson’s “legal law” regarding the burning of a book that is sacred to many. but this does not mean that this action is appropriate” and stated that this behavior is “extremely disrespectful”.
Jean-Pierre stated that Turkey, Finland and Sweden have taken important steps and evaluated that the two countries are ready to become NATO members and this would be good for the security of Europe. On the other hand, Sözcü reiterated that Turkey is a “credible partner”. (AA)
