The trams always have priority at intersections, unless pedestrians cross at the zebra crossing. Motorists, cyclists, scooter riders and cars are therefore reminded in the campaign to pay close attention when crossing the road. “It is important that we point road users more towards the tram,” says deputy Arne Schaddelee. “The province is responsible for the tram track, the municipalities for the road infrastructure. So we have to work together to improve safety and to solve this together.”
