The anger after Rasmus Paludan’s Koran burning continues to grow. On Monday afternoon, violent demonstrations broke out outside the Swedish embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.

During the weekend, similar scenes played out in a number of countries. Thousands gathered in Turkish Batman on Sunday to demonstrate against the Danish politician – and against the Swedish government.

– The Koran burning has stirred up a lot of emotions, says TV4 Nyhetern’s foreign reporter Terese Cristiansson.

It was on Saturday afternoon that the Swedish-Danish right-wing extremist Rasmus Paludan burned a Koran outside the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm.
