“What I don’t want is to do the season too much”, he explained in the past at the microphone of Sud Radio, shortly after the news of the end of the series was communicated. In addition, the actor explained that Balthazar demanded “a lot of energy, a lot of time. It’s very time-consuming, when I shoot BalthazarI can’t shoot anything else”. Synopsis – Haunted by the murder of his wife, Raphaël Balthazar is an outstanding forensic doctor who seeks to find out what happened to his wife. Excellent in his work, he imagines the ghosts of deceased people and asks them questions to advance the investigation. He cooperates with police commander Hélène Bach in complex murder investigations.
Season 5 of Balthazar has been broadcast since January 19, 2023 on TF1 from 9:10 p.m. Two episodes are broadcast every Thursday on the first channel. They are then available the next day in replay on the Mytf1 site but also broadcast on the Salto subscription streaming platform.
Why did Hélène de Fougerolles leave the Balthazar series?
Since season 4 of “Balthazar”, fans of the series have been in contact with a new duo: the medical examiner now works with Camille Costes, played by Constance Labbé. She’s replacing Helen of Fougerolles. The one who camped Hélène Bach alongside Tomer Sisley since season 1 explained that new professional adventures opened up to her after Balthazar. “We couldn’t continue this dog / cat story indefinitely, it would have gotten you tired” specified the actress on the social network. Shortly after this announcement, the actress returned to this decision, which does not necessarily seem to come from her, in the columns of Télé Loisirs. “A lot of people thought it was me who left but it wasn’t my decision. It’s a decision that was taken at many levels: the screenwriters, the producer, TF1… We all agreed concerted. The idea was for them to start writing again, because once the two main characters were together, it was less interesting. There was an idea of renewal, and as it is called Balthazar, if he there was one that needed to be renewed, it was more Tomer than me”. Of which act.
How was the departure of Hélène de Fougerolles justified in the scenario for season 4 of Balthazar? In the first episode of season 4, we learn that after coming out of the coma, Balthazar pushed away Hélène Bach, who was however impatiently awaiting his awakening.
