About ten arrested after wave of violence in Stockholm

In the past 24 hours, the police have arrested several people who are suspected of being involved in the wave of violence that hit the Stockholm area, writes TT.

– We have arrested about ten individuals who are believed to have connections to the shootings and explosions that have taken place recently. Most of those arrested have since been arrested, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.

During this week, among other things, powerful explosives detonated at a restaurant in Södermalm and an office building in Kista.

– Those arrested have connections to criminal networks in Stockholm and other parts of the country, says Ola Österling.

  • Grated cheese recalled – may contain listeria

    Wernersson cheese is recalling its grated cheese in 500-gram and one-kilo packages. The reason is that the subcontractor discovered during a routine check that the products may contain listeria bacteria, writes TT.

    A man was found at the scene and taken to hospital.

    The police are tight-lipped about the incident.

    Prosecutor Christina Rällsjö confirms to SVT Nyheter that the crime is being investigated as suspected attempted murder.
