MICHAEL SARDOU. On the occasion of his new tour, singer Michel Sardou spoke at length on BFMTV.
Michel Sardou did not steal his sulphurous reputation. Guest of BFMTV this Wednesday, January 18, on the occasion of his new tour scheduled for next fall, the singer, who will celebrate his 76th birthday at the end of the month, spoke at length on various social issues, from feminism to ecology, including the war in Ukraine and pension reform. True to his reputation, Michel Sardou conceded to be “an old fart, perhaps.” Starting with feminism and the #Metoo wave, which freed the voices of women victims of violence.
“I am not a feminist. Feminists annoy me. Metoo is dangerous”, slice Michel Sardou, often accused of being reactionary. “The brutality is intolerable. But on the other hand, there are so many cases that we say to ourselves that it is not possible that there are so many men like that”, he adds. on the set of the continuous news channel. A clear opinion that the 76-year-old singer also has on another subject, that of ecology. “I think everyone is green (…) I like ecology, I don’t like political ecology”, explains the singer, before sending, in passing, a spade to Sandrine Rousseau: “Sandrine Rousseau’s husband? Poor thing. Shouldn’t we organize a march for him? Raise funds?”. “I don’t want to be deconstructed,” says Michel Sardou.
Another social subject on which the artist was questioned, the demonstrations against the pension reform, announced by the government and the demonstrations which result from it this Thursday. “This event exists because things were poorly explained from the start. I’m talking about Mr. Macron’s first five-year term. We didn’t understand anything (…) I didn’t understand anything”, explains Michel Sardou.
On the demonstration, he continues: “I am a little against this demonstration, not on the merits (…), but I am against the fact of paralyzing France. That is not useful at the moment. C It’s my idea, I’m not a politician, I don’t care. But paralyzing France after suffering the Covid, the yellow vests… It’s okay guys.”
