According to a recent tweet, PlayStation 5 of the Japanese technology giant Causes permanent internal damage when the console is placed upright.
Seems like When you place the PlayStation 5 vertically, the liquid metal interface used in the custom AMD APU can leak out. So this basically means that the cooling mechanism is broken and liquid metal will spill onto the motherboard.
The tweet was shared by @68logic, who owns his own hardware repair shop. This is not heartwarming, as another private repair shop owner, Ben Montana, also confirmed this issue with his PS5.
The problem is probably It’s because the seal between the APU and the heatsink isn’t tight enough. This causes liquid metal to leak out, which can be quite harmful to the game console.
