Match guide: Sweden–Hungary

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Where: Scandinavium, Gothenburg.

When: Wednesday, return 20.30.

TV/radio: TV6/Viaplay and Radiosporten.

Two groups become one: After the first group stage, the three teams that progressed from Sweden’s group (Sweden, Brazil, Cape Verde) are now combined with the three best teams from the Kristianstad group (Hungary, Iceland, Portugal).

Conditions: Sweden is the only team with four points from the group. The others stand on two points each, except Cape Verde, which stands on zero. Meetings against the three additional teams now await. The top two after the intermediate round advance to the quarterfinals.

The opposition: Hungary is first out for Sweden. The team fell to Portugal, but somewhat surprisingly beat Iceland in the group stage. Described as a very physical team and has no less than five players who are over two meters tall.

Watch out for: Bence Banhidi, one of the world’s best centre-sixes who measures 2.06m and weighs in at 120kg. If Sweden is to win against Hungary, Banhidi must be stopped.
