Absent from the Australian Open in 2022 due to a visa problem and a big controversy related to his vaccination, the Serb received exceptional authorization to participate in the 2023 edition. But the Australian curse seems to continue for the Serb who, in a preparation match against the Russian Daniil Medvedev this Wednesday, January 11, injured his left hamstring.
This Monday, for the second consecutive day, the Serb canceled his training session as announced by the organizers. The 35-year-old has been suffering from a hamstring injury for several days but still faces his first round against Spaniard Roberto Carballés Baena on Tuesday.
