23 dead. To date.

The rescue work after the rocket attacks in Dnipro is still ongoing.

– We paused the work and were quiet. Then we heard the screams during the racial masses, says Mikhailo Lysenko, deputy mayor of the city.

Warning for strong images.

The pictures from Ukrainian Dnipro shock the world. An apartment block was hit in an attack on Saturday, leaving the area in utter devastation.

At least 20 people have died so far. Among the dead is a 15-year-old girl.

“Unfortunately, the death toll is increasing every hour,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday evening.

Over 70 people have been injured, many of them children. The youngest must be three years old.

Many are still missing.

Pictures from the scene show how both the living and the dead are pulled out of the rubble. The rescue workers are fighting a battle against the clock.
