Woman to hospital after serious assault

A 75-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault against a woman he has a close relationship with.

The police were alerted to an address in Skellefteå municipality at around 11pm in the evening.

The woman, who is 65 years old, has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of the damage is unclear.

The crime scene has been cordoned off and the police will carry out a technical investigation.

“Interrogations with those involved will be held as soon as possible,” the police write on their website.

  • Two Palestinians shot dead

    Two Palestinians have been shot dead by Israeli forces in the town of Jaba in the occupied West Bank, TT writes.

    According to the Israeli military, the soldiers fired because gunmen in a car fired at them. The military states that they later confiscated automatic carbines in the car.

  • Massive protests in Tel Aviv

    Around 70,000 people gathered in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening.

    They are protesting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new right-wing government. Among other things, the coalition government has put forward proposals that reduce the power of the country’s highest court, which has provoked strong reactions.

    A large number of police officers are on the scene, but so far there do not seem to have been any major clashes.

    Haaretz reports that late in the evening police tried to prevent protesters from getting onto the highway and blocking it.

  • Rattfull drove into the stream

    The police were alerted to a traffic accident south of Kristianstad at around 8:30 p.m.

    A car had driven off the road and into a stream.

    According to SOS, the driver was able to get out of the car on his own. Paramedics then attended to him.

    The man, who is 35 years old, is suspected of drunk driving.

    A 7-year-old girl is being treated for life-threatening injuries after the shooting in London, writes Sky News.

    Four women and a 12-year-old girl were also taken to hospital after the shooting, which happened at a church in central London where a funeral was taking place.

    According to the police, the shots were fired from a car that then drove away.

    No one has been arrested and an intensive investigation is underway.

    According to the police, the animal must be a deer.

    It is unclear how seriously injured the man is.
