Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action role-playing game in which you take on the role of a magician’s student within the well-known Harry Potter universe and explore Hogwarts in the 19th century. First gameplay videos show the creation of your own character, fights with magic wands and exploratory flights on magical beasts. The RPG will be released on February 10, 2023 on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC and will later also appear on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch platforms. However, Hogwarts Legacy caused heated debates even before its release, as the creator of the wizarding universe, JK Rowling, made controversial statements about transgender people and there were calls for a boycott of the game.
