[Mis à jour le 9 février 2022 à 20h45] What’s wrong with my family is a France 2 TV movie freely adapting the book of the same name written by Marc-Olivier Fogiel. The general manager of BFM TV told there in 2018 the journey of several couples who had recourse to the GPA, also sharing the story of the birth of his two daughters, Mila and Lily.
Marc-Olivier Fogiel intervened from afar in the production of the TV movie What’s wrong with my family?. However, he disagreed when Véronique Genest was chosen to play in the film. In question: his remarks on the GPA. She was eventually kicked out of the project. The ex-host, however, did not go to the set of the France 2 TV movie, reported TéléStar. According to Télé 7 Jours, the general manager of BFM TV and her husband, photographer François Roelants, saw the film well. “They were upset, co-producer Arnaud Jalbert told the specialized media. He even asked for a link to the film so he could show it to his daughters.”
What’s wrong with my family? is the free adaptation, in television film, of the work of the same name written by Marc-Olivier Fogiel in 2018. The actor told there his own experience of the birth of his two daughters by GPA in the United States, but also that lived by other couples who have used the same route. Marc-Olivier Fogiel was logically consulted for the adaptation of his work on the small screen. When the book was released, the former radio and TV presenter explained his desire to tell his own story: “More than a pioneer, I consider myself to have a responsibility. I assume it by not hiding not behind my little finger. My family is secure, I am privileged in life, I could tell myself that this is no longer my subject but I owe it to my daughters and to those who write to me”.
