Last November, a serial era came to an end. After 177 episodes and 12 years, it was time to say goodbye to the horror milestone The Walking Dead. Farewell was not too difficult for most fans, because that TWD series universe is far from dead.
Even as another The Walking Dead series ends this year, the zombie franchise will live on beyond the end of the series. Three new spin-off series and the next Fear the Walking Dead reboot will be launched in 2023 and 2024. Here’s the overview.

The journey did not end for all characters at the end of The Walking Dead. Daryl Dixon, Negan and Maggie will not be retiring, but will continue to explore the world of the zombie apocalypse in their own spin-offs this year. Likewise, in 2024, The Walking Dead’s biggest mystery yet to be solved will finally be solved.

It starts with the 8th and final season of Fear the Walking Dead. The spin-off will undergo a small reboot. Texas is left behind as a setting and the action jumps in time by 7 years. After several years of absence is the former main character Madison back and must free himself from the captivity of Padre’s baby-stealing community alongside Morgan Jones and his comrades-in-arms.
The first new spin-off will be Dead City, which Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and maggie (Lauren Cohan) after new York sends. The kidnapping of Maggie’s son, Hershel, brings the unlikely duo back together a few years after the end of the main series. The 6-part series has already been shot in New York and New Jersey. Dead City will launch on AMC in June 2023.

The end is just the beginning
Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) will also have his own series. Originally intended to be a spin-off about Daryl and Carol, the project has undergone some creative changes and will now do without Melissa McBride. The exciting thing about this offshoot: Daryl finds himself suddenly in France again, where an even more aggressive breed of undead rampages. How does he get there? We’ll find out over the course of 6 episodes.
Probably the most exciting spin-off brings Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and michonne (Danai Gurira) finally back on screens after a long time having to find their way back together amid difficult circumstances. The superior power of the Civic Republic, which has been built up over the years, will play a decisive role in this. Since production will not start until spring 2023, series production will not start until 2024.
