A police operation is underway on Kungsholmen in central Stockholm during Wednesday evening, following an alarm that an armed man entered a restaurant.
– He allegedly went in and threatened a person in there, says Rebecca Landberg, press spokesperson at the Stockholm police region.
There are witness reports that shots were fired into the air outside the restaurant, but no one is reported to have been injured.
The alarm came in to the police at 20.40 and several police patrols are now looking for the man, who is described as middle-aged.
The incident is being investigated as aggravated unlawful threat and aggravated weapons offence.
