Flight grounding across the US after data error

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

A technical error at the US aviation authority FAA could lead to no planes being able to take off across the US, reports ABC News.

The data error occurred in the system that issues flight warnings, known as Notam.

Over 400 departures within, to or from the US are delayed, according to the site Flightaware, reports CNBC. However, it is not confirmed that all the delays have to do with the technical error.

The FAA states for Sky News that the work to restore the systems is ongoing. There is no forecast for when the system will be able to function again.

According to American Airlines, it is about temporary delays for the airline’s departures.

In the clip above, TV4 Nyheterna’s correspondent Tomas Kvarnkullen comments on the situation.
