Supporters of Turku Palloseura could rub their eyes today when the TPS lineup for tonight’s Jukurit match was announced.
Three players from Turku are sidelined due to injuries. In addition to that, five of the team’s key players are missing from the ranks of the black and whites.
This is how TPS informed about the absences:
The evening crew is gone Jonne Tammela, Lassi Lehtinen, Aleksi Anttalainen, Ruben Rafkin mixed Topias Haapanen. The absence of players from the lineup is an internal matter for the team. Viisikko is again available for coaching in Friday’s TPS-HIFK match.
The club did not want to comment further on the absences.
According to Urheilu, the dropping of players from the lineup is related to the events of last weekend. The above-mentioned five had gone to spend the evening according to a longer pattern in Vaasa last Saturday, when TPS stayed there on their way back from the match played in Oulu.
Sunday had been granted as a day off for the whole team, but the TPS coaching still did not look favorably on the five-man bar night.
A round of four games will be played in the Ice Hockey SM League on Wednesday. Puheen Jääkiekkierros follows all matches from start to finish. The broadcast starts at 18:00.
