A quest in WoW Dragonflight saves you a good 1 hour if you don’t complete it

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Blizzard has brought back the ability to skip the profession introduction to WoW Dragonflight with the NPC Haephesta. It’s worth it with every second character you play – even if you want to enjoy the story.

How to save time: As soon as you come to the Dragon Isles with a new character, you will be introduced to the Artisan Consortium and the NPC Haephesta early on on the Awakening Coast. There you will learn more about Dragonflight’s new crafting system.

The first quests in the series lead you to the Ruby Life Shrine, where Haephesta, Miguel and Thomas Heller show you how crafting equipment and specializations work.

At this point, if you have previously visited Khadin and exchanged Dragon Shards of Knowledge with a character, you can skip all subsequent crafting quests. This was already possible when Dragonflight was released, but was then deactivated due to problems.

Now, 6 weeks after release, you can use the skip again. This saves you a lengthy series of quests that would otherwise take an hour – or more if you factor in travel times and detours. You don’t miss much, except for a little banter between Miguel and Thomas.

Which quest am I not allowed to do? However, in order for you to be able to skip all the quests, you must not complete the “Craftsman’s Mail” quest. You get these in a row after three other quests in the Ruby Life Shrine:

  • A present for Miguel
  • Professional equipment
  • That’s my specialty
  • Craftsman mail
  • During the quest you have the option to skip all further quests via a dialogue with Haephesta and go directly to Khadin in the plains of Ohn’ahra to exchange dragon shards. But this is your only chance. If you complete the quest, you must also do all of the following.

In our guide we explain how you can skill professions faster. In the video we explain the new and most important features for craftsmen:

Skip crafting quests – That’s why it’s worth it

If you don’t necessarily want to experience the story between the craftsman couple again, it’s worth skipping to save time and level up your professions. Because you can start accumulating knowledge sooner.

You can obtain knowledge for your professions from a variety of sources, including Dragon Shards of Knowledge found in Tempted Earth or Expedition Pouches. But this is only possible after completing the quests for the shards at Khadin.

WoW Dragonflight has had a new profession system for 5 weeks, but one thing is bothering the players enormously

If you skip the quests, you can start collecting the shards “on the side” – but at the latest at level 70, when you actually still have to do the introductory quests.

This way, you’ll learn new recipes sooner, which will give you a big chunk of experience points when you craft them for the first time. Skipping is therefore also useful if you want to level up quickly. You can read more about this in our guide to leveling fast in Dragonflight.

Nevertheless, it can happen that you reach a limit where you cannot or only with difficulty further skill your profession. In this case, you can either wait until the next Darkmoon Faire and pick up skill points there, or farm reputation.

Because the different factions provide both knowledge and new recipes for your professions. This is even faster if one of your characters has already reached a high fame level. Here you can find out where you need fame for your profession:
