Stina Nilsson has had a tough winter so far.
Now Björn Ferry wants to poke her before the WC – for the benefit of Mona Brorsson, who made a big impression this weekend.
– It is surprising that it has gone so quickly for her, says the TV expert to SVT Sport.
During the season have Stina Nilsson been selected for all World Cup competitions. Unlike Mona Brorsson who had to focus on the IBU Cup instead, but this weekend she got her big chance and took it.
Tribute to Brorsson
Brorsson made his season debut at the World Cup in Pokljuka and got the chance on the third leg of the mixed relay. She made a big impression and was very involved in Sweden’s success in third place.
– It is gratifying and surprising that it went so well. She rode really well, just as well as last year, says the expert Bjorn Ferry to SVT Sport.

Now Ferry hopes that Brorsson will be one of the Swedes who grab one of the places for the Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof in February.
– If nothing unforeseen happens, Mona should be number five. It’s surprising that it has gone so fast for her. She comes from a long period of illness and has competed in the IBU Cup. This week she has gotten better and better, says the SVT expert.

But there Björn Ferry wants to see that Brorsson goes first and that Nilsson and Skottheim can stay at home.
– Mona has done better this week than Stina has done all season, while Skottheim has not done so well. Currently, I see Mona as the perfect backup. She has a leadership role within the team, is the one who has been with the longest, is experienced and can contribute to the relay team, says Ferry in his explanation.
