Child murdered – one arrested
A child under the age of 15 was found dead in a home in Luleå on Sunday evening.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into murder and a person has been arrested as a reasonable suspect for the crime, the police say.
The child’s relatives are informed.

Shooting at apartment
An apartment in Kalmar was exposed to gunfire on Sunday evening. The police were alerted at 22:39 and state on their website that no one was injured.
The crime scene is now cordoned off and the police are on the scene.
Resident at home found dead man outside door
A resident of a special accommodation in Härjedalen found a dead man outside his apartment. The dead man was also a resident and an alarm is said to have been triggered shortly before the incident, but without staff checking the alarm.
The municipality has now reported the incident to the Inspectorate for Care and Care, IVO, reports SVT Jamtland.
At the time, only substitutes should have worked at the accommodation and several should have lacked nursing training.

Supporters of former president Jair Bolsonaro have broken through barricades and made their way to the National Congress in the country’s capital Brasilia, it reports CNN. Films show how the police try to stop them with pepper spray and the demonstrators throw stones at the police.
Pictures show protesters outside the building and according to Senator Veneziano Vital do Rêgo, president of the Senate, they should have also entered the building.

Truck and car in collision – man dead

A man in his 50s has died in a traffic accident in Strängnäs.
The accident occurred at 1 pm on Sunday when a car and a truck collided at a curve on county road 990 at the height of Björkhem.
A total of three people were injured. The man in his 50s was traveling in the car and was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.
A man and a woman in their 40s were traveling in the truck and were taken to hospital for a check-up.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation into causing the death of another and will investigate the accident. No one is suspected of the crime. The car and truck have been impounded and will be examined by forensics.
Relatives have been notified.
Jogger hit by car – taken to hospital
On Sunday evening, the Police and Emergency Services were called to a road in Mark municipality after a car ran over a man who had been out jogging.
– The man has been taken by ambulance to hospital due to a clear fracture in the leg and head injury, says Pernilla Henry at the Police.
According to the rescue service, the man, who is 45 years old, should have been on the road without reflexes.
– The person was awake and talking when the person was taken to hospital, says Per Fägersten, at Södra Älvsborg’s rescue association.
The police will draw up a traffic accident report without a crime.
The Danish government stands firm – wants to scrap the public holiday
Just before Christmas, the Danish government announced the decision that they do not want the holiday “Prayer Day” to no longer be a red day.

But now Foreign Minister Løkke Rasmussen announces that the abolition of the holiday is fixed – and that it would bring in revenue of around three billion Danish kroner a year.

The minks are back in Denmark
In November 2020, every single mink in Denmark was killed.
But since January 1 this year, it is once again allowed to breed minks in Denmark, and now the first animals are on their way to the country.

Car overturned – two to hospital by ambulance helicopter
Two people have had to be taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter after a single-person accident on the E14 outside Östersund.
– It’s a passenger car that drove into the ditch and overturned. When we arrived, the car was on the roof, says Daniel Moberg, internal commander at the rescue service.
A total of three people must travel in the car. Everyone was out of the vehicle and awake and talking when the emergency services arrived on the scene.
Earthquake off Vanuatu – tsunami warning
An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 has occurred in Vanuatu in the South Pacific, east of Australia, AFP reports with reference to the US Geological Survey.
The earthquake occurred around 1 p.m. local time at a depth of 27 kilometers according to the USGS.
A tsunami warning has been issued in the area.
Crashed after police chase
A traffic accident has occurred on Rv 61 outside Arvika after a police chase.
– We saw a car and started an attempt to stop, but he does not stop but tries to escape us and things are thrown from the car, says Torbjörn Roos, on duty in the Bergslagen police region.
The police tried to stop the car and planned to lay down a carpet of nails, but before that, the fleeing car rear-ended another car.
Four people ran from the chased car, but the police were able to arrest three of them immediately, and have now also arrested the fourth.
– They are suspected of drug offenses and so there are some traffic offenses we have to investigate.
The four arrested are said to have no injuries. There were two adults and a child in the car that was hit, but there should also be no injuries.
