Shortly before the person was found dead, a motion alarm had been triggered. But an investigation carried out by the municipality shows that no one went to check the alarm, because a substitute had been with the deceased shortly before.
The municipality has now reported the incident to the Inspectorate for Care and Care, IVO.
At the time of the incident, only substitutes worked at the special accommodation, several of whom lacked nursing training. The municipality has now tightened its procedures.
