Two buses collided in central Senegal overnight Sunday, and at least 40 people have died.
The buses collided near the town of Kaffrine at 03:00. According to preliminary information, one of the buses suffered a puncture, whereupon it ended up in the wrong lane and collided with an oncoming bus.
Senegalese President Macky Sall has announced three days of national mourning. He announced at the same time that 40 people have died and that many have serious injuries.
