The goal is that all police officers on external duty will eventually wear body cameras to be able to record events. The purpose is both to get better evidence and to improve the working environment for the police.
Reduces harassment and threats
– In previous studies, it has been possible to show that body cameras reduce violence and harassment against police officers. Even when it comes to sexual harassment against female police officers, it has had an effect. There are many colleagues who experience increased security by wearing a body camera, says Ann-Christine Rehnström.
In the video, police assistant Jacob Sulasami shows how the camera works and how to see that it is recording.
