An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the bombing that took place at a gate to an apartment building in Rågsved in southern Stockholm early on New Year’s Eve morning.
– It cannot be ruled out that there will be more arrests, says chamber prosecutor Daniel Jonsson.
The young man, who is 18 years old, is on probable grounds suspected of public destruction. He was arrested in southern Stockholm on January 5.
– This person has been arrested in his absence for some time and work in the investigation led to us finally catching him last night, says police spokesperson Carina Skagerlind, who otherwise cannot go into more detail about how the arrest took place.
It is unclear whether additional perpetrators are involved in the explosion, but District Attorney Daniel Jonsson does not rule out that this is the case.
