Woman robbed and threatened with a knife

At 10:04 p.m., the police were called to Norrlidsvägen in Kalmar where a woman was threatened with a knife by a partially masked perpetrator.

The person forced a piece of jewelry and then left the crime scene on a bicycle.

The woman is physically unharmed.

The police are looking for the perpetrator.

    A car driver had driven at high speed straight through a roundabout and then driven off the road and collided with a wall.

    SOS alarm states for GP that a person is taken to hospital by ambulance.

  • Threatened police officers with affection

    The police responded to an alarm in Åseda in Uppvidinge municipality at 4:30 p.m. today.

    Once at the scene, the patrol was threatened by a person with a “big attachment” to a residence.

    – The patrol has backed off and is working to assess the situation, said police spokesperson Rickard Lundqvist at around 9 p.m.

    A larger area around the residence has been cordoned off. There should be no danger to the public and the police say they have the situation under control.

    There are currently 379 preliminary investigations related to crimes within the gang environment in the Stockholm region – in 175 of the cases, suspects are in custody. It reports DN.

  • El Chapo’s son arrested

    Ovidio Guzmán, son of notorious drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán, has been arrested in Mexico.

    The arrest took place in connection with a dramatic dawn raid in the northwestern city of Culiacán.

    The incident has led to unrest in the city, reports say CNN. Footage circulating on social media reportedly shows trucks being set on fire. The airport has been closed for most of the day because of gunfire nearby.

    The city’s mayor has urged residents to stay at home.

    Culiacán has long been a base for the Sinaloa Cartel, where Ovidio Guzmán is said to have been a high-ranking member.

    Sinaloa is one of the world’s most powerful drug cartels, and father “El Chapo” was its feared leader before he was sentenced to life in prison in 2020.

    Germany is to send the US Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

    This is announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US President Joe Biden in a joint statement.

  • Military searches for missing 80-year-old

    The police are looking for an 80-year-old man who disappeared from his home in Gnesta night.

    Relatives alerted the police at 04.30 this morning.

  • Boy wanted in custody after Vällingby shooting

    A 16-year-old boy has been requested to be detained on suspicion of aiding and abetting murder after the shooting death at McDonald’s in Vällingby in western Stockholm on New Year’s Eve, the Prosecutor’s Office states.

    The person who was arrested on reasonable suspicion in the case has been released, but the suspicions remain.

    – The investigation continues with further questioning, collection of evidence and mapping of those involved, says District Attorney Liselotte Nilsson in a press release.

    Three people suffered gunshot wounds after the shooting and were taken to hospital by ambulance. The shot, a man in his 20s, died of his injuries. According to information to Aftonbladet, he was part of a gang in Västerort.

  • The record hunt: Four out of ten wolves killed

    According to Svensk Jakt’s compilation, “roughly four out of ten wolves” have now been killed since license hunting started on Monday, TT writes.

    A total of 31 wolves have now been shot.

    The hunt began on Monday and continues until a total of 75 wolves have been shot, or until February 15 at the latest.

    Wolf hunting may be conducted in Dalarna County, Gävleborg County, Värmland County, Västmanland County and Örebro County.

    This year’s allocation is record-breaking.

    It is based on the previous wolf inventory, when it was estimated that there are a total of around 460 wolves in Sweden. It is the highest number recorded since the wolf inventories started.

    Two cars and a truck are involved in a traffic accident on the E45 in Orsa, about a mile south of Ämådalen.

    The road is completely blocked.

    The extent of the damage is unclear.

    Police, emergency services and an ambulance are on their way to the scene.

    The rescue work will greatly affect traffic, at least until 5:00 p.m. according to the Swedish Transport Administration.
