Everything about Karin Bojs in På spåret: Partner, family and the big wins

Karin Bojs, 63, is a writer and science journalist. You probably recognize her name from the pages of Dagens Nyheter, where for many years she was head of the science editorial department. Today, she writes regular columns in the newspaper.

The journalist has been awarded several prizes, including the August Prize 2015 for her book “My European Family – the last 54,000 years” and the Knowledge Prize awarded by the National Encyclopedia and the Royal Academy of Engineering’s media prize.

She has also been awarded an honorary doctorate at Stockholm University and in 1994 she started the Swedish section of Reporters Without Borders.

Bojs was born in Lundy, Gothenburg and now lives in Stockholm. In an interview with Hemtrevligt, Karin says that she moved away from home as early as 16 years old. She quickly learned to stand on her own two feet and managed to get a contract for an apartment in Majorna, Gothenburg. There she then started a food technology course at high school.

Before taking on her role as a journalist, she was a baker and worked at several prestigious bakeries for several years. But after she scored 1.9 in the college exam, she was able to freely choose which education she found attractive.

– I got hooked on journalism, I thought I had a disposition that was well suited to being a journalist. In addition, the education was only two years, and after graduation there were jobs so that you could make a living, that was important to me, she tells the newspaper.

Is Karin Boj married?

Karin Bojs is not married. However, she lives separately with a man named Kevinaccording to Hemtrevligt.
