The new year is only a few days old, but already the weather and temperature records are starting to roll in. In many parts of Europe the thermometer reaches summer heat.
In Constantza on the Black Sea, some take the opportunity to swim or just play on the beach. Some distance away, in Curtea de Arges, the thermometer showed 21 degrees today.
Furthermore, a new heat record has been set for Romania in January. Just like in Danish Abed. And in Poland’s capital, Warsaw, the previous heat record was beaten by as much as 5 degrees. In Bilbao, Spain, the mercury reached over 25 degrees – the average temperature for July.
And those who were going on a skiing holiday in Bosnia have had to think again.
See several impacts from around Europe in the clip – including the climate professor Bogdan Chojnicki comments on the weather.
