After Leksand’s nob – now the league rival wants to sign the World Cup gold hero with over 500 NHL games

Therefore, they want to strengthen significantly for the coming season and have found a Swedish World Cup gold hero with over 500 games in the NHL.

This spring, Rögle BK made club history by winning the regular season in the SHL for the first time ever. It was then “only” enough for a SM silver in the playoffs for the great success team.

Rögle wants to recruit

The current season is going considerably slower for the top team, which is found first in eighth place in the SHL table, a full 21 points behind the Växjö Lakers in the table. Therefore, the club chooses to act now to strengthen the team for the coming season.

Since before has Rodrigo Abols already announced that he is leaving Örebro for Rögle for the coming season and will be a very nice addition to Ängelholm. Now the SHL team is also showing interest in an NHL-merited Swede.

Won WC gold

It’s 29 years old Victor Rask that Rögle has his eyes on and wants to recruit for the coming season, Sportbladet reports. The forward is currently playing in Fribourg, Switzerland, but has eight NHL seasons and a total of 223 points in 506 games in the world’s best hockey league on the record.

Rask has also won JVM gold and WC gold in the blue-yellow national team uniform and grew up in Dalarna with Leksand as his parent club. But according to information, Leksand is not interested in the 29-year-old at the moment and therefore it could be Rögle until next autumn.

Victor Rask has so far never played in the SHL, but only represented Leksand in the HockeyAllsvenskan before his career continued in North America. Where there have been games for the NHL teams Carolina Hurricanes, Minnesota Wild and newly started Seattle Kraken.
