Frida Karlsson’s success in the Tour de Ski just continues.
On Wednesday, she took home her second victory in two days, and now the Swede is widely praised in Norway.
– The train has gone for the Norwegian riders, where the cup was smoked, says NRK commentator Torgeir Bjørn.
Nobody can stop Frida Karlsson right now. The 23-year-old already took an impressive victory yesterday when she won in superior style in 10 kilometers classic style. Was she satisfied there? Hardly.
Karlsson’s success
Karlsson went out as the first rider in Wednesday’s pursuit start, and even though she was overtaken a bit into the race, in the end there was no talk. The Finnish woman Krista Pärmäkoski tried to match her in the track, but on the last lap the Swede showed that she is in top form when she drove away from the competitor and took her second victory in two days.

At the same time collapsed Anne Kjersti Kalvå and Tiril Udnes Weng overall, the two Norwegians leading the race were the ones who overshadowed Frida Karlsson in the overall.
– You saw them just disappear in the track, I didn’t have a chance. It’s extremely bad, it shouldn’t happen, says Weng to Viaplay.
Anne Kjersti Kalvå didn’t have a chance to keep up either.
– I toiled from the first second and tried to hang on as long as possible, but in the end it was too tough, she says to Norwegian TV2.
– It may happen that Frida has a bad day like me and Tiril had today, but now she is a big favorite to win.

Now the final three stages await in the Italian Val di Fiemme, and on Sunday it’s time for the classic climb up the slalom slope. There, too, the Norwegians see Frida Karlsson as favorite – except in the overall victory.
– Frida decides in many ways today, but Tiril would not have had a chance at the overall victory anyway, says Lotta Udnes Weng to VG.
