A US court sentenced Megan Hess, 46, who ran Sunset Mesa Funeral Home in Colorado, and her mother, Shirly Koch, 69, to 20 and 15 years in prison for dismembering and selling 560 bodies delivered to them for funeral work between 2010 and 2018. It was determined that Hess, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison and his mother Koch, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison, received a funeral fee of 1,000 dollars from the families of the deceased, and then cut the bodies into pieces and sold them.
