Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) is in Paris for a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, on the occasion of the Swedish EU presidency.

The trip is the first to be carried out since Sweden took over the EU presidency on January 1, 2023. The previous presidency was the Czech Republic.

At lunchtime, a joint press conference was held with President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in central Paris. The Swedish Prime Minister noted, among other things, that Sweden is taking over the presidency at a time when the EU is going through several parallel crises.

In the clip above, TV4 News’ Lisa Grenfors comments on the meeting.
