In the disappointed news, the showrunner goes back to the fact that 1899, like Dark, was designed for 3 seasons. As always, Netflix has not given a reason for the cancellation. Whether it was because the mystery series just before the Wednesday hype appeared and was eclipsed by the mega hit is not known.
