The year 2023 is off to a bad start for Microsoft. Not only is the publisher experiencing numerous issues with the 22H2 versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11, the latest versions of which suffer from several bugs – including fixes that cause crashes and blue screens on PCs, as complained users on the support forums… – but in addition, its OneDrive online storage service is no longer working properly this Monday, January 2. Since about 8:00 a.m. French time, reports accumulate on DownDetectorthe site that monitors the status of the main online services, social networks, telephone operators and Internet service providers (see our fact sheet).

According to user testimonials, the symptoms vary but in all cases, it seems that automatic synchronization is disabled and files stored on OneDrive servers are inaccessible. The publisher has not yet commented on the nature of the incident. We just have to hope that the data entrusted to Microsoft – which includes OneDrive as standard in Windows 10 and Windows 11 as the default cloud storage space – was not simply deleted and that the problem will be quickly fixed. For now, there is only one thing to do: wait calmly, crossing your fingers…
