“UPPER ROWS CHANGE HANDS”

Commenting on the Chinese market, Research Director Tarun Pathak said, “Since the fall of Huawei, the top lines in China have been changing hands. OPPO ranked #1 in January 2021, while vivo hit the top spot in March 2021. Market dynamics changed again in October, with Apple becoming the new #1 brand for the first time since December 2015. This was due to the success of the iPhone 13.”

BREAKING SUPPLY PROBLEMS

Commenting on the supply shortage in the Chinese market, Senior Analyst Varun Mishra said, “Due to supply issues, the normal waiting time for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max in China ranges from four to five weeks. Some Chinese customers choose to pay a premium to ensure prompt delivery of new phones. “Overall, the Chinese market has been slow throughout the year and Apple’s growth is a positive sign.”
