Telegram, one of the most popular social media applications of today, shared the big update notes that will come soon.
The latest update packs a host of new features including spoiler formatting for media, new drawing tools, zero storage usage, and more. Besides being able to add spoiler formatting for text, Telegram now allows adding spoiler formatting for images and videos as well. This appears as a glowing layer over the media with a blur that hides the content unless the user touches it.
New storage management features allow you to configure individual auto-removal settings for cached media from private chats, groups, and channels. (Some chats are excluded from this.)
The app now also includes updated drawing tools with 5 high-precision color tools, including a new blur tool and a new eyedropper tool. Drawing tools automatically change the width and smooth lines according to the drawing speed. Text size, font and background can be changed when adding to photos or videos and Telegram Premium Special animated emojis are available even for non-users.
You can now also set a custom profile picture for your contacts that will appear only for you. The picture can also be suggested to your contact so they can set it up for themselves with two taps. You can also have a public profile picture for your account, which can be separate from the one you have for your contacts.
Group admins can now hide members in groups with more than 100 members. In this way, your presence in the group will not be seen by anyone other than the administrator unless you share. Update now to take advantage of all these new features.
