All Community Days from 2022 at a glance

What are Community Days? Every month, Pokémon GO organizes a so-called Community Day. This focuses on a specific monster and can then be found on almost every corner in the game. The short event is also accompanied by lots of bonuses as well as an increased shiny chance and special event attacks.

What is a C-Day Classic? Since 2022, in addition to the monthly Community Days, there has also been the Community Day Classic format. Here, too, everything revolves around a predetermined monster, but this has already existed in its own Community Day in the past.

We have summarized all Community Days and Community Day Classic from 2022 below.

1. Sea Pug

sea pug

The start of Community Day 2022 was made by the ice and water Pokémon Sea Pug. On January 16, this stretched over a total of 6 event hours in which you could catch the blue, round seal. If you have meanwhile evolved the monster into Walraisa via Seejong, then Walraisa learned the event attack “Powder Snow”. The event was rounded off with a 3x catch XP.

2. Bulbasaur

Bulbasaur

Bulbasaur, the first C-Day Classic, made its in-game debut a few days later. In a 3-hour event, you were able to catch the small Grass-type Pokémon and evolve it into Bisaflor to secure the Flora Statue attack. Just like Sea Pug, there was a 3x XP bonus on capture.

3. Hopsprout

hopscotch

In February, a 6-hour community day followed with the grass and flying Pokémon Hopsprout, which gave you a 3x stardust bonus when catching and additional raid passes. By catching his advancement Hubelupf, you secured the corresponding XL candies. As Papungha evolved, it gained the event move Acrobatics.

4. Sandan & Alola Sandan

Sandan & Alola Sandan

In March, two event Pokémon awaited you in Community Day: Sandan and Alolan Sandan. As in the previous months, the event lasted 6 hours, during which you could catch and develop diligently.

Sandamer learned Night Slash and his Alolan Varrainte Dark Claw by evolving during this time. In addition, you could benefit from a four times faster hatch time for eggs.

5. Hydropi

Finally, in April, the Community Day Classic returned and brought you the water-type Pokémon Hydropi. Like Bulbasaur, this one has had its own C-Day in the past. During the three hours of the event, you could benefit from a triple catch XP as well as secure the “Aqua Howitzer” attack when evolving into Sumpex.

6. Velursi

Velursi

Finally, the regular Community Day in April brought you a completely new Pokémon. The normal and fighting Pokémon Velursi celebrated its debut in the game and could also be caught directly as Shiny.

In addition, you could benefit from numerous bonuses on this day, such as triple catch XP, double candies on catch and trade bonuses. Kosturso, the evolution of Velursi, also learned the event move Drain Slash while evolving.

With this event, Niantic also decided to shorten the event times of Community Days to 3 hours in the future, which led to violent reactions in the community:

7. Alola Smallstone

Alola Smallstone

May brought you a Community Day with Alola Kleinstein. With this one, you could secure the event attack “Waltz” by evolving into Alolan Geowaz and benefit from double candy and triple Stardust when catching it over the course of the event.

Also, catching larger amounts of monsters around PokéStops with Lure Modules gave you a chance to further increase your Stardust bonus.

8. Kapuno

capuno

In June, you could look forward to the dragon Pokémon Kapuno at Community Day. This is usually rather rare in the game and also has a really strong advancement.

In addition to the event move “Whirler”, which Trikephalo could learn while evolving, C-Day also brought you plenty of bonuses. Among other things, you could benefit from double catch candies, an increased chance of XL candies and four times the hatching speed of eggs. One or the other exchange bonus was also included again.

Another highlight of this event was the introduction of special level 4 raids with Duodino, which you could only participate in on site and which gave you more Kapuno spawns around the arena after the actual C-Day.

9. Starali

Staralili

The Community Day in July then brought you the normal and flying Pokémon Staralili, which you could catch in its shiny form for the first time. By evolving into Staraptor, you were also able to secure the event move, Gust of Wind.

In addition, there were again special XP and candy bonuses when catching and advantages when trading. Following C-Day, you had another chance to take part in special Level 4 Raids with Staravia.

10. Galar Zigzachs

Galar Zigzax

In August, the Dark and Normal Pokémon Galar Zigzags was the focus of Community Day, which brought you lots of candy and stardust if you caught it. By evolving into Barrikadax, the monster secured the event move Blocker. In subsequent level 4 raids with Geradaks, you had the opportunity to encounter more Galar Zigzachs.

11. Pebbles

September’s Community Day was all about the rock-type Pokémon Pebbleling. If you evolved it into Brockoloss that day, it would receive the special event move Meteor Beam. In addition, the event also gave you a lot of candies and special exchange bonuses, as well as a four times faster hatching distance for eggs.

Also on this day you could benefit from special level 4 raids after the event.

12. Lightel

lightel

October C-Day brought you a long-awaited shiny debut. The spirit and fire Pokémon Lichtel was the focus of the day. You could develop this further via Laternecto to Skelabra in order to get the “Poltergeist” event attack. The event was rounded off with the usual exchange and candy bonuses, triple XP when caught and subsequent level 4 raids.

By the way: Skelabra, Lichtel’s final evolution, is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO. You can see which strong monsters are also in the game in the following video:

14. Teddiursa

teddiursa

November brought you yet another Community Day where Teddiursa took center stage. For the first time, you could evolve the Normal Pokémon into Ursaluna via Ursaring, which learned the Horsepower attack. What is special about this development, however, is that even after the Ursaluna event, you can only secure it when the moon is full.

In addition, the event again provided you with candy and stardust bonuses when catching, as well as a few advantages when trading. You could also encounter Ursaring in level 4 raids after C-Day.

We have summarized how strong Ursaluna is here.

15th Community Day in December

At the end of the year, the big “Community Day” weekend took place again in December 2022. In contrast to the other C-Days, this one extends over two event days, on which you can meet monsters from the Community Days from the last few months for three hours each.

And also Pokémon from 2021 returned for these days. So you also had the chance to encounter Machollo, Eevee, Roselia, Wablu, Dusk, Sheinux, Kaumalat, Serpifeu, Floink, Ottaro and Dartiri.

In addition to a lot of bonuses, such as double XP, candies and stardust when caught or a shorter hatching distance, the Pokémon were able to learn their respective event attack again on this day during development.
