Unable to meet 2022 expectations with supply problems, MG Marvel R will be one of the first members of 2023 to be offered for sale in Turkey.
MG Turkey, which wants to enter the year 2023 quickly, is preparing to do this with its electric models. Marvel R will be one of the most important trump cards of the British manufacturer, which is preparing to bring the MG4 Electric, which will be the first model it has developed to include its new battery architecture, to the market within the first quarter of the year. When the first plans were announced, the model, which was expected to be presented in Turkey in 2022, was put on the road in very limited numbers due to availability problems. The brand, which is preparing to solve this scenario at the beginning of 2023, seems to be ready for high volume sales this time. If nothing goes wrong, we can say that official sales for MG Marvel R will start in February 2022.

The privileges in the Marvel R family, which are offered for sale with three different options, Comfort, Luxury and Performance, draw attention in infrastructure as well as hardware. In the first two options, we see that the model, which comes with dual electric motors, contains three electric motors together with the Performance package. With the double electric motor of Marvel R, which offers 180 PS power and 410 Nm torque in the entry packages, the maximum speed values of 0-100 and 200 km / h in 7.9 seconds stand out.
With the combination of three electric motors, we see that the value increased to 288 PS in terms of power and 665 Nm on the torque side. It will also be important for the user that the battery dynamics are the same in all versions of the family. While the 70 kWh package is offered as standard on this side, the 402 kilometer range value at the best rate becomes official in WLTP standards. We can see the benefit of the performance that the Performance package brings with it, in battery consumption, with a maximum range of 370 kilometers. The batteries of the family, where the fast charging system is standard, can be brought from 5 percent to 80 percent in 43 minutes.
An experience awaits us, where the Marvel R differs from the current model group with its cockpit as well as its exterior design. When we look at the console of the model, a 19.4-inch multimedia screen dominates the middle section. We see that the Marvel R, which has a digital instrument panel as standard on the driver’s side, offers a 12.3-inch system in this section. It is not difficult to feel that MG trusts the vehicle with different upholstery color options and material choices that raise the perception of quality.
It is noteworthy that dual-zone automatic air conditioning, panoramic glass roof and leather upholstery are offered as standard in all packages. In the top versions, there is no doubt that supports such as Bose premium sound system, ambient lighting and 360-degree camera will increase the experience one step. Let’s not pass without mentioning the existence of MG Pilot electronic security systems, which bring active and passive support of all versions of the family. It should be underlined that Marvel R, which comes with a luggage volume of 357 liters, does not have an engine system in the front section, so an additional 150 liters of space awaits users under the hood.
