A truck overturned on the road on the E4 north of Söderhamn in the direction of Uppsala in Gävleborg county during the night. The road is completely closed until recovery work is completed, and there is now limited access in the northbound direction. According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the forecast is that traffic will be affected until 12.00.
According to Söderhamns-Kurien has it been slippery on the roads in the area. SMHI has issued a yellow warning for the coastal areas of Västerbotten and Norrbotten from Umeå to just north of Luleå.
The reason is that during Thursday a snowfall area moved north over Norrland and in the coastal country the snowfall was expected to be heavy. The warning is valid until 07:00.
