Skånetrafiken shuts down the security line – expensive calls and many wrong calls

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Skånska Dagbladet was the first to tell about the closure of the security line, which existed for those who felt a sense of worry or insecurity when traveling with Skånetrafiken, for example when waiting for their bus or walking home from a train station.

The cost has been over SEK 94,000 per call for the 79 calls that have been registered to the security line, where six employees were responsible for receiving the calls, something like Kristianstadsbladet be the first to tell.

Out of a total of 600 calls that have come to the security line, over 500 have been false calls. Carina Zacharu (M) says that they have tried to be clear with their marketing.

– There is always the risk of making the wrong call, but we have been clear about which criteria apply, she says.

Important project

Carina Zachau (M) says that although the bill can be perceived as expensive, this has been an important pilot project.

– We wanted to test it as there was a great demand from the travellers. Then it must be said that the six employees have not only sat on the security line, they have also done other things.

From the turn of the year, the security line will cease, following a decision by Region Skåne’s public transport board.
