“We have been looking for a centre-back with leadership qualities, so it feels very good that we have come to an agreement with Tom. Here we are getting an experienced centre-back who has played many matches in the Allsvenskan, but also a player who has experience of playing in several different countries and also the European Games,” says sports director Hasse Larsson.
Pettersson comes closest from Norwegian Lillestrøm. He has played in the Allsvenskan for Åtvidaberg, IFK Gothenburg and Östersund.
It is the third day in a row that Mjällby presents a new acquisition. This week they have also finished with Colin Rösler and Imam Jagne.
