“It’s the most wrong thing”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Ebba Andersson is one of our brightest stars in cross-country skiing.
But she is not particularly predictable.
In a prejudice-themed Q&A on Viaplay, she dispels several myths about herself
and makes the reporter bite the grass hard.

Ebba Andersson, 25, had planned to compete in the Tour de Ski, which starts just in time for New Year’s Eve. But the Swedish cross-country star was unfortunately struck by covid-19 after his successful start to the season, and has now been forced to put the competition aside to ensure that his body is fresh and ready when the WC in Planica, Slovenia, begins on February 23.

The prejudices about Ebba

But despite the missed competition, Ebba Andersson has found new ways to stay relevant. However, not in the ski tracks, but this time outside them. In an interview with Viaplay Vinter, Andersson has to answer for a whole bunch of prejudices that are directed at her – but she doesn’t seem to be very easy to see through.

Some things that are discussed are that, for example, she prefers Disney films, or that she learned to swim unusually late. But it is above all a prejudice that stands out, when the reporter believes that if Ebba Andersson had not become a skier, she would instead have worked as a veterinarian. A prejudice that may seem reasonable in advance.

“Not so predictable”

But the fact is that it is exactly the opposite.
– You are looking at a person who is allergic to fur animals. In fact, I haven’t had a single pet in my entire life. Not even a turtle, a lizard, fish or anything, says Andersson in the clip.

She adds:
– That prejudice was probably the most wrong of all, actually. I’m not as predictable as I look, it’s important to get to know me to get the whole register, says Ebba Andersson with a twinkle in her eye.
