After the criticism of the municipal board’s sharp increases in fees in Trelleborg, the politicians are now backing down – but only partially. The increase of 25 percent will be fixed in 2023, but there will be no further increase in 2024. This is announced by municipal board chairman Ann Kajson Carlqvist (M) to Trelleborgs Allehanda.
The original proposal would give Ann Kajson Carlqvist a fee increase to SEK 89,375 in the month of 2023 and another increase to SEK 125,000 the following year.
“I want to start by explaining that the whole goal of the remuneration committee’s work was to get more people to be able to get involved in the political work in Trelleborg municipality in a good way”, she writes in a written reply to Trelleborgs Allehandaafter previously refusing to comment on the fee increase.
